Ten picks finished in the points positions and everyone had at least two picks score points. Four Fantasy Leaguers picked the winner in Henrik Stenson, four also picked one of the runners up in Rory McIlroy or Justin Rose. Two of them had both the winner and one of the runners up. SetupDetermines had four of his picks finish in the top 9 places, RedRage also had four picks but two of them were outside the top 10. Mary_S and BlueCoverman both had three picks score points while Davie and LadyPutt each had two picks.
The finish points put BlueCoverman at the top of the leaderboard but that was before bonus points for the final round were calculated. 66 was the low score of the day; four players shot 66 and two of them were picks. Ian Poulter and Louis Oosthuizen were both picked by SetupDetermines who, for the fourth day runnning had a low round scorer. Those points were enough for SetupDetermines to overhaul BlueCoverman and take the win. LadyPutt and RedRage also picked Poulter and Oosthuizen respectively. Shane Lowry and Oliver Fisher also shot 66.
This event concludes the Summer/Autumn session. The Thanksgiving holiday is this week and it's time to give thanks to all of you for taking part.

For thesecond third day in a row one of SetupDetermines picks had the low round of the day. Rafa Cabrera Bello followed up on his round of 64 to shoot 65. SetupDetermines now takes the lead over BlueCoverman in both this event and in the Summer/Autumn standings. The Top 10 Low Round scores were rounds of 67 or lower and two other picks were among them. Eddie Pepperell shot 66 to earn points for both Davie and LadyPutt; they now are tied for third with RedRage. Ross Fisher shot 67 to earn points for Mary_S and she is now off of the mark.
There are now seven picks inside the top 10 positions on the leaderboard and a few others are one or two shots outside of that. The final round will keep it interesting to the very end

For the second day in a row one of SetupDetermines picks had the low round of the day. His pick of Rafa Cabrera Bello bounced back after an indifferent opening round to shoot 64. That closes the gap on BlueCoverman on the leaderboard and in the Summer/Autumn standings. There are six picks inside the top 10 positions on the leaderboard and a few others knocking on the door. Round 3 should be very interesting.

BlueCoverman may have just made two real picks but they were pretty good ones. One was Rory McIlroy showed few signs of rustiness in an opening 66 which tied Shane Lowry for low round of the day. The other was Henrik Stenson, who was a popular pick, who shot 68 to sneak into the Top 5 Low Round scores. One other pick, Richie Ramsay, also made it into the Low Round scores and lucky number 2 came up trumps for BlueCoverman. SetupDetermines was the only other Fantasy Leaguer to pick McIlroy and RedRage had both Stenson and Ramsay. They're the closest challengers to BlueCoverman at the moment. Both Davie and LadyPutt selected Stenson and Mary_S is suffering from LPRPitis having benched Stenson and Ramsay. RedRage may be rueing the benching of Lowry.
Brooks Koepka is suffering the after effects of too much Turkish Delight; his round of 78 was the worst by two shots.

The DP World Tour Championship ends the Final Series and although the Race to Dubai has been sewn up by Rory McIlroy, who lapped the field, it's still all to play for in the final event of the Summer/Autumn standings as just five points separates the podium placings. With BlueCoverman hoping to emulate RedRage and LadyPutt with picking by numbers victories there's a chance that someone else could take the prize.
Rory McIlroy has put his court room troubles and drama to one side to return to the action and headlines the field as number one in lots of ways. Three other players from the top 10 in the OWGR are also in attendance and their rankings in the Race to Dubai are close to their OWGR numbers. The top 15 after this event will share in the bonus pool so despite the overall prize being off the table there's still bucketloads of money to play for. From the previous winners only Alvaro Quiros didn't qualify. Henrik Stenson is the defending champion having taken the crown from McIlroy.
Due to the limited field event we are back to two picks from each category plus reserve. This is also a no cut event so the usual cut bonuses are not in effect and there are no points for bad play.

RULES
Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 6 players as follows:
Pick 2 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.
Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).
If there is a tie after all 6 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.
Order of Merit: The person with the most total points at the completion of the season will be declared the GolfChatUK Fantasy League Champion. If there is a tie for total points at the completion of the season, those involved will be declared Co-Champions.
Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be treated as nil scoring. If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.
Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply. Example: Pick 2 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4 and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1 and 7, reserve 3 from Category B, players 1 and 2, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.
Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.
Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament. However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.
All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

With RedRage being only 40 points behind in the standings I'll wait for him to make picks. If he doesn't his usual numbers 2, 8, and 11 will be used for the picks and reserves.

Nope. I've said a few times that I'm not really into pro golf. I probably see more pro golf live and in person than I do watching on TV. I'll watch the majors, although never much of the U.S. Open for one reason or another, and the Ryder Cup but that's it.
