A 1-2 finish from Tim Clark and Jim Furyk wasn't quite enough for RedRage to overhaul LadyPutt who hangs on for the win by the smallest of margins. LadyPutt had three picks score points including Furyk. Davie had the most picks score points but he didn't have enough quality to force his way up the leaderboard. Three picks was also the best 1GrumpyGolfer, Mary_S, and SetupDetermines could manage but SetupDetermines had Clark so he solidified this third place on the leaderboard. BlueCoverman had two picks score points.
Dicky Pride had the round of the day with a 63. Josh Teater and first round leader Tim Petrovic had a bad Sunday with 75s. Jim Herman finished the weekend at +8 and in last place. No one picked any of these players so no bonus points were paid out for the final round.

LadyPutt may only have had two picks score points but she extended her lead at the top of leaderboard again. For the second day in a row a Fantasy League pick, Tim Clark, shot the low round of the day; this time with a 64. RedRage and SetupDetermines were the beneficiaries of Clark's fine play. They also had another pick finish in the Top 10 Low Round scores as they were the best performers in round 3. 1GrumpyGolfer and LadyPutt also had two picks finish with rounds of 68 or better. BlueCoverman also had a pick finish in the Top 10 Low Round scores. Davie and Mary_S failed to trouble the scorers in round 3.
Greg Chalmers had the worst round of the day with a 76.

The choice of John Daly by LadyPutt has given everyone else a slim chance at the Canadian Open. If she had picked another Category C player that made the cut she would almost be home and hosed right now. Daly was the only one of LadyPutt's picks that missed the cut and she earned two bonuses which proved to be very hard to come by. Only 1GrumpyGolfer, Davie, and Mary_S earned a bonus; all for Category B. Davie has seven picks left, 1GrumpyGolfer and RedRage both have six picks left. BlueCoverman and SetupDetermines are both left with five picks, Mary_S has just four picks left.
Two picks, Jim Furyk and Graham DeLaet, shared the low round score of the day with 63s and LadyPutt had both of them! 1GrumpyGolfer, BlueCoverman, and RedRage also had Furyk and Davie had DeLaet too. Kevin Stinson had the worst round of the day with a 79.

The low round score was 64 and two players, Michael Putnam and Tim Petrovic, shot that number. The Top 5 Low Round scores were rounds of 66 or lower and three picks had a 66. Charl Schwartzel, Charlie Wi, and Nick Watney all had that score.
LadyPutt had both Charl and Charlie and she takes the lead from Davie, Mary_S, and SetupDetermines. Everyone else is yet to get off of the mark.
Erik Compton had a 79 for the worst round of the day. No one picked him and the closest to that score was LadyPutt's John Daly who had a 76.
The cut line is at even par already and will probably move lower than that so those over par will need some good rounds today to make the weekend.

The final event of the Spring/Summer session saw Rory McIlroy and RedRage destroy the Open Championship fields with outstanding performances. But we're now back to the weekly grind of regular tour stops and this week we find ourselves in Oh Canada! for the RBC Canadian Open. A mixed field with some top tenners and some whoevers but we have to start somewhere and Russian airspace didn't seem to be the direction to go.
We are back to our regular three Categories but you still need to pick three, plus reserve, from each one. The additional cut bonus points are still on offer this time around. If you get all of your picks through in any category you get a small bonus. Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus. It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.
This is a full field with cut event, so cut points will be available; see above.

Unofficial update for round 1
Full official update to come tomorrow.

The cut line is at even par already and will probably move lower than that so those over par will need some good rounds today to make the weekend.

The good news for those with picks over par is that there looks to be some good scoring out there. The bad news, for RedRage, is Camilo Villegas has withdrawn after 9 holes of his second round. He was +2 for the round and +5 overall. No word on why he withdrew at this time.

Pfft, I was there all the way round with you. Like an anchor
Good news is 63s have been posted but bad news for the chasing pack as LadyPutt has both Jim Furyk and Graham DaLaet who posted -7 today. Best round but 2 shots at the moment.

This might sting a bit.
Jason Bohn shoots 66 to be in the top 5 on Thursday and then follows it with a 78 on Friday to be well below the cut line.
Canadian amateur Taylor Pendrith is yo-yoing on the cut line at the moment. He was tied 3rd after a first round 65 and followed that with a 75. As I was typing this he moved from missing the cut to being on the number; could be an anxious few hours for the poor guy.

Could this be 2 in a row or can LP hold him off ?

I think Red's on a bit of a charge but we'll know soon enough.

I suppose you've just got off of the golf course and looked
Results coming shortly, spent the morning catching up with my boss as he was away immediately after I got back.
