Inbee Park is on course for a grand slam of the majors after winning the US Women's Open and Davie's 1, 3, 13 finish was enough to pip 1GrumpyGolfer and RedRage for the GolfChatUK Fantasy League victory.  RedRage and 1GrumpyGolfer had three and four picks finish in the points.  LadyPutt also had three along with Mary_S. BlueCoverman's one pick was also the winner so that was a good one to have.  SetupDetermines also had one pick.  

The  round of the day was 70 and Shanshan Feng and amateur Casie Cathrea both matched that mark.  Natalie Gulbis had the worse round with an 84.  Jackie Barenborg Stoelting was the unfortunate soul who came last.  No one picked any of these players so no bonus points were awarded for the final round.

Casie Cathrea's fine round was enough to take her to victory in the race for leading amateur over Lydia Ko who could only manage a level par round.  All of the other amateurs had over par rounds.

Round three scoring was high but the points scoring for GolfChatUK Fantasy Leaguers was also high.  Everyone had at least one pick in the Top 10 Low Round Scores.  Inbee Park had the round of the day for the second round running and that allowed everyone except SetupDetermines and Mary_S enjoyed the bonus points for low round.

Eun-Hee Ji and amateur Brooke Mackenzie had the worse rounds of the day with 83s.  This had a big effect in the race for leading amateur as the other five had 79s.  Three shots now split the amateurs and Lydia Ko, Doris Chen, and Casie Cathrea have the lead.  Yueer Feng is one behind, Nelly Korda is a further shot behind.  If Lydia Ko wins the leading amateur race everyone bar Mary_S gets 30 points.

Round two finished and there were some big numbers out there.  The cut line moved to +6 and that snuck a couple of GolfChatUK picks through which was good news for BlueCoverman.  The big numbers did mean that no one got to get all six through to the weekend including world number 3 Suzann Pettersen.  1GrumpyGolfer and LadyPutt lead the way after they had five picks through.  Davie and RedRage are in third as they had five and three picks respectively.  BlueCoverman, Mary_S, and SetupDetermines each had four picks.  

World number 1 Inbee Park had one of the rounds of the day with a 68.  She matched Angela Stanford's round from earlier in the day.  All bar SetupDetermines and Mary_S picked Inbee Park; no one picked Stanford.  Amateur Elizabeth Schultz had the worse of the tournament so far with a 91.

In the race for leading amateur only six made it to the weekend.  Brooke Mackenzie holds a one shot lead over Lydia Ko, Doris Chen, and Casie Cathrea.  Yueer Feng was a further shot behind and Nelly Korda made the cut on the number.  If Lydia Ko wins the leading amateur race everyone bar Mary_S gets 30 points.  Mary_S's pick of Hannah Suh missed the cut by 9.

There was some good scoring late in the day as a number of GolfChatUK Fantasy picks climbed towards the top of the leaderboard.  Four picks were in the top six scores earning points for all bar Mary_S.  1GrumpyGolfer, LadyPutt and RedRage fared the best as they each had two picks in the Top 5 Low Round Scores.

The race for the leading amateur is not the foregone conclusion that everyone thought.  Lydia Ko picked by everyone, bar Mary_S, is in joint 3rd in the amateur race after a round of 72.  She is one shot behind the pair that are leading; Brooke Mackenzie and Yueer Feng.  Mary_S's pick is not doing so well and will have to play well to make the cut.

Top 60 and ties make it through so at the moment the +3s and +4s will need to have 71 or better to make sure they have a chance to make the weekend.

The third women's major of the year has a fairly strong line up with 68 players from the top 100 including 43 out of the top 50.  However it also has 32 unranked players in the field too.  

Player 136 has still not been confirmed so the field is one player short.  They are supposed to be in the 1:36 tee time on the 10th tee with Angela Stanford and Lizette Salas.  If you happen to see who this please let me know so I can add to the field.

There are a lot of amateurs in the field so we will have Low Amateur as a separate pick unless you wish to pick them for one of your category picks too.  30 points are on offer for correctly picking the leading amateur at the end of the tournament.  If no amateur makes the cut then no points will be awarded.  Amateurs are identified by (AM) after their last name.

This is a full field event with cut; cut bonuses will be in effect.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 6 players as follows:

Pick 2 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.
Pick an amateur player, identified by (AM) after their last name

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 6 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Order of Merit: The person with the most total points at the completion of the season will be declared the GolfChatUK Fantasy League Champion. If there is a tie for total points at the completion of the season, those involved will be declared Co-Champions.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be treated as nil scoring. If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply.

Example: Pick 2 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4 and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1 and 7, reserve 3 from Category B, players 1 and 2, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament.

However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

I'm not sure that it was Mikayla Harmon who actually replaced Ariya Jutanugarn. Harmon was placed in the 1:36 starting time from the 10th tee with Angela Stanford and Lizette Salas. AJ, it's shorter, was supposed to be in the 2:09 starting time from the 10th tee with Anna Nordqvist and Shanshan Feng. Hannah Suh is now in AJ's spot.

Anyway bottom line Blue, replace AJ with Beatriz Recari your reserve or pick another from Cat B.

Just checked through the rest of the starting times and no one else has dropped out or been replaced.

He was lucky enough to go straight to LFQ again this year - so I didn't have to do the nail biting for the Regional scores. I would imagine that Monty will have a few people following him, maybe a chance of the rough getting trampled down a bit for the group behind?

Hit the + signs next to their names & lpga.com creates you a My Leaderboard.

Then you can see how disastrous your picks are doing.....

Looks like Kyung Kim has struck the first blow in leading amateur after a fine 71. Yueer Feng in with a 72 too so it might not be the foregone conclusion that everyone, except Mary, thought.

Well she's ranked 318 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings so she might be capable of a surprise

LadyPutt and RedRage look well placed after great rounds from Inbee Park and Lizette Salas. Mary may be rueing her late picks as she looks to be a bit behind at this moment.

GolfChatUK Fantasy Leaguers had 4 of the top 6 and it looks to be a threeway tie at the top of the leaderboard at this moment.

The race for leading amateur is closer than predicted. Brooke Mackenzie also had a 71 to tie Kyung Kim. Lydia Ko tied Yueer Feng's 72 and Nelly Korda had a 73 just 3 shots behind her big sister Jessica.

Round two finished and there were some big numbers out there.  The cut line moved to +6 and that snuck a couple of GolfChatUK picks through which was good news for BlueCoverman.  The big numbers did mean that no one got to get all six through to the weekend including world number 3 Suzann Pettersen.  1GrumpyGolfer and LadyPutt lead the way after they had five picks through.  Davie and RedRage are in third as they had five and three picks respectively.  BlueCoverman, Mary_S, and SetupDetermines each had four picks.

World number 1 Inbee Park had one of the rounds of the day with a 68.  She matched Angela Stanford's round from earlier in the day.  All bar SetupDetermines and Mary_S picked Inbee Park; no one picked Stanford.  Amateur Elizabeth Schultz had the worse of the tournament so far with a 91.

In the race for leading amateur only six made it to the weekend.  Brooke Mackenzie holds a one shot lead over Lydia Ko, Doris Chen, and Casie Cathrea.  Yueer Feng was a further shot behind and Nelly Korda made the cut on the number.  If Lydia Ko wins the leading amateur race everyone bar Mary_S gets 30 points.  Mary_S's pick of Hannah Suh missed the cut by 9.

Round three scoring was high but the points scoring for GolfChatUK Fantasy Leaguers was also high. Everyone had at least one pick in the Top 10 Low Round Scores. Inbee Park had the round of the day for the second round running and that allowed everyone except SetupDetermines and Mary_S enjoyed the bonus points for low round.

Eun-Hee Ji and amateur Brooke Mackenzie had the worse rounds of the day with 83s. This had a big effect in the race for leading amateur as the other five had 79s. Three shots now split the amateurs and Lydia Ko, Doris Chen, and Casie Cathrea have the lead. Yueer Feng is one behind, Nelly Korda is a further shot behind. If Lydia Ko wins the leading amateur race everyone bar Mary_S gets 30 points.

Inbee Park is on course for a grand slam of the majors after winning the US Women's Open and Davie's 1, 3, 13 finish was enough to pip 1GrumpyGolfer and RedRage for the GolfChatUK Fantasy League victory. RedRage and 1GrumpyGolfer had three and four picks finish in the points. LadyPutt also had three along with Mary_S. BlueCoverman's one pick was also the winner so that was a good one to have. SetupDetermines also had one pick.

The round of the day was 70 and Shanshan Feng and amateur Casie Cathrea both matched that mark. Natalie Gulbis had the worse round with an 84. Jackie Barenborg Stoelting was the unfortunate soul who came last. No one picked any of these players so no bonus points were awarded for the final round.

Casie Cathrea's fine round was enough to take her to victory in the race for leading amateur over Lydia Ko who could only manage a level par round. All of the other amateurs had over par rounds.
