As expected Mary_S is crowned the coulda, woulda, shoulda champion of the GolfChatUK Fantasy League event #2 but unfortunately she earns a big, fat, lonely, zero in the points column. The actual honour of winning the Ballantine’s championship goes to LadyPutt as two of her picks finished second and sixth. All bar RedRage had two picks finish in the scoring positions; RedRage could only manage one pick. SetupDetermines was the closest challenger and BlueCoverman left it late, just like Col U, to move into third.
LadyPutt was aided in her charge to glory by the low round of Thongchai Jaidee, his round of 65 was enough to secure the 10 extra bonus points on offer for low round. Davie also picked Jaidee so he got those points too. No one picked Hyun-bin Park who had the worse round, last place combo on the final day so those points were left by the wayside.
The next event is in China so remember to get those picks in by WEDNESDAY (Mary)!

There was lots of jockeying for position in the GolfChatUK Fantasy League after round 3 of the Ballantine’s Championship and LadyPutt and BlueCoverman were the big movers. LadyPutt had two picks finish in the Top 10 Low Scores and BlueCoverman went for a Low Score, Worse Score combo. SetupDetermines also got in on the Low Scores act and 5 points separates the top 4. Mary_S continues to run away with the fantasy, fantasy league tournament as one of her picks would have made the Top 10 Low Scores too.
The low round was shot by Pablo Larrazabal and the worse rounds were shot by Jbe’ Kruger and YE Yang.
There are six picks in the scoring positions at the moment; will that continue? Who will make a run for the title?

Round 2 finished on Saturday morning and 7 GolfChatUK Fantasy League picks said goodbye to the Ballantine’s Championship after missing the halfway cut. Mary_S would have earned the bonus points for managing to get all six picks through to the weekend if she had picked on time! SetupDetermines came the closest with five picks through. 1GrumpyGolfer, LadyPutt and RedRage had four picks while BlueCoverman and Davie only had three.
SetupDetermines also came close to having round of the day through Kiradech Aphibarnrat but he was pipped by Ashun Wu who had a 69. Four pros shared the worse round of the day which was 79. No one picked either of them so look below for their names as I can’t be bothered to list them.
Round 3 should be finished on Saturday so look out for an updated leaderboard to be posted shortly after this one.

Round 1 eventually finished and five pros finished at -5. That meant good news for 1GrumpyGolfer as he picked one of those five pros in Johan Edfors. Mary_S also picked two of the pros but she happened to pick them after they had finished! Everyone else is in joint second place after round 1.
In-Woo Lee was on course for the worse round of the day as he was +12 for 11 holes but he withdrew before we got the chance to see how bad it could really be. Chi Hsien Hsieh eventually took that honour finishing at +10. No one picked Hsieh so the points were left unawarded.
The cut line is at even par and 8 of the 24 GolfChatUK Fantasy League picks are in danger at the moment.

RULES
Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 6 players as follows:
Pick 2 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.
Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).
If there is a tie after all 6 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.
Order of Merit: The person with the most total points at the completion of the season will be declared the GolfChatUK Fantasy League Champion. If there is a tie for total points at the completion of the season, those involved will be declared Co-Champions.
Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be treated as nil scoring. If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.
Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply.
Example: Pick 2 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4 and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1 and 7, reserve 3 from Category B, players 1 and 2, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.
Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.
Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament. However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.
All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

If only, it normally takes about an hour to collate all the details and post an event. It didn't help that the OWGR people mixed up half of the asian player names.

Round 1 has been suspended due to darkness at 7pm Seoul time. The last tee time was off at 4:30, not sure how they thought they were going to get everyone round before dark anyway.
Round 1 will resume and round 2 will not start any earlier than 9am Seoul time.

Surprise, surprise round 2 didn't finish due to darkness. There are over 70 players left to complete their second round, the closest ones are on their 15th and the last players have only completed five holes. Looks like we could have a late finish to this tournament.
Looks like the cut is top 65 and ties and the cut line remains at even par.
