Five GolfChatUK Fantasy League picks earned placing points and 1GrumpyGolfer had all five of them to complete a runaway victory.  BlueCoverman had all four of his remaining picks finish in the top 3 places to finish as the closest challenger.  Another Fantasy Leaguer, LadyPutt, chose the tournament winner and those points along with a third place were enough to hold off RedRage who three finishers score points including two third place finishes.  SetupDetermines had the Fisher brothers score points and Davie had a second place finish through Miguel Angel Jimenez.  Mary_S didn't manage any finish points.  

Richie Ramsay had the round of the day with a 64, Bjorn Akesson finished with a 77 as the worse round, Chris Lloyd finished in last place.  No one had picked any of these so round four saw no bonus points awarded at all.

Mixed bag of scoring for the GolfChatUK Fantasy League picks as Jorge Campillo imploded after his great round yesterday.  He went from shooting 63 to accumulating 79, whilst this was happening Joost Luiten shot the round of the day with a 66.  That combination earned 1GrumpyGolfer 30 points, he also picked up another Top 10 Low Round Scorer through Ross Fisher.  BlueCoverman and LadyPutt had two picks in the Top 10, one of which was Luiten so they earned 30 points in round 3.  RedRage and SetupDetermines also had two in the Top 10 but not the low round scorer.  Mary_S has a pick score points through Paul Casey.  Davie's picks didn't trouble the scorers.  Chris Lloyd also had a 79 but no one picked him.

Some late changes to the cut line means that 78 players made the final two rounds and young pro Kevin Phelan and Paul Casey squeaked through right on the number.  That meant some good news for SetupDetermines, Mary_S, and RedRage.  Only one GolfChatUK Fantasy Leaguer made the cut unscathed, 1GrumpyGolfer had all of his picks make it to the weekend and so earned the bonus points that come with that.  SetupDetermines was the next closest with five picks.  Everyone, bar Mary_S, had four picks make it and Mary_S breathes a sigh of relief as Casey doubled the number of her picks left for the weekend.

There was some great scoring out there and two picks had the lowest rounds of the day; Simon Dyson and Jorge Campillo both shot 63.  RedRage, BlueCoverman, and 1GrumpyGolfer all picked Dyson.  1GrumpyGolfer went one better than those two as he also had Campillo.  The worse rounds of the day were 77s and these were from Danny Willett, bet he loves the news piece on the ET website about his fast start, and Xavier Ruiz Funhof.  No one picked either of these players so no additional bonus points were awarded.

The large weekend field means a two tee start and threesomes; tv coverage could be jumping all over the course if players start to make a charge.

Old hand Miguel Angel Jimenez keeps rolling back the years with another good performance this time at the KLM Open.  His round of 64 was the best of the day and that earned bonus points for 1GrumpyGolfer, BlueCoverman, and Davie.  To make the Top 5 Low Round scores a score of 65 or better was needed and the closest were Tom Lewis and Oliver Fisher with 67s.  15 of the GolfChatUK Fantasy League picks are at par or better but will need to be under par to make the weekend.  The worse round was from Kevin Berger who accumulated 83.  No one picked him so no further bonus points were awarded.

The European Tour is now in The Netherlands for the KLM Open. The field is still headlined by an Italian with Matteo Manassero being the top ranked player.  There are a number of past champions in the field but the defending champion, Peter Hanson, won't be due to an ongoing back injury.  Past champions include Simon Dyson, Ross Fisher, Sven Struver, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Jose Maria Olazabal, and Martin Lafeber who remains the last Dutch player to have won.  Also in the field is newly minted pro Kevin Phelan who played in the Walker Cup last weekend.

This is a full field event with cut; cut bonuses will be in effect.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 6 players as follows:

Pick 2 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 6 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Order of Merit: The person with the most total points at the completion of the season will be declared the GolfChatUK Fantasy League Champion. If there is a tie for total points at the completion of the season, those involved will be declared Co-Champions.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be treated as nil scoring. If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply.  Example: Pick 2 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4 and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1 and 7, reserve 3 from Category B, players 1 and 2, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament. However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

Sorry, no LP, I just checked the leaderboard first thing this morning and noticed that he, Campbell, and Lara were playing no further part.

Looks like RedRage may only get 3 picks through to the weekend; not that you'd be celebrating that at all Blue

PS, Mary could set a very unwanted record if Scott Henry slips back

Paul Casey could sneak in if the cut line remains at -1 but if one or two of the -1s gets to -2 then he could be out.  Nervous times for Setup, Mary, and Red.

Some late changes to the cut line means that 78 players made the final two rounds and young pro Kevin Phelan and Paul Casey squeaked through right on the number. That meant some good news for SetupDetermines, Mary_S, and RedRage. Only one GolfChatUK Fantasy Leaguer made the cut unscathed, 1GrumpyGolfer had all of his picks make it to the weekend and so earned the bonus points that come with that. SetupDetermines was the next closest with five picks. Everyone, bar Mary_S, had four picks make it and Mary_S breathes a sigh of relief as Casey doubled the number of her picks left for the weekend.

There was some great scoring out there and two picks had the lowest rounds of the day; Simon Dyson and Jorge Campillo both shot 63. RedRage, BlueCoverman, and 1GrumpyGolfer all picked Dyson. 1GrumpyGolfer went one better than those two as he also had Campillo. The worse rounds of the day were 77s and these were from Danny Willett, bet he loves the news piece on the ET website about his fast start, and Xavier Ruiz Funhof. No one picked either of these players so no additional bonus points were awarded.

The large weekend field means a two tee start and threesomes; tv coverage could be jumping all over the course if players start to make a charge.

I didn't pinch your top 4 Blue, I told you they were good picks and, not that you will believe me, I made a note of those players to use when I was collecting information for the opening blurb.

Luiten runner up to Dyson on this course

Hadn't made my mind up about Cat C so could have posted earlier and I even thought about just picking Cat A & Cat B and going back to add in Cat C.

Mixed bag of scoring for the GolfChatUK Fantasy League picks as Jorge Campillo imploded after his great round yesterday.  He went from shooting 63 to accumulating 79, whilst this was happening Joost Luiten shot the round of the day with a 66.  That combination earned 1GrumpyGolfer 30 points, he also picked up another Top 10 Low Round Scorer through Ross Fisher.  BlueCoverman and LadyPutt had two picks in the Top 10, one of which was Luiten so they earned 30 points in round 3.  RedRage and SetupDetermines also had two in the Top 10 but not the low round scorer.  Mary_S has a pick score points through Paul Casey.  Davie's picks didn't trouble the scorers.  Chris Lloyd also had a 79 but no one picked him.

Five GolfChatUK Fantasy League picks earned placing points and 1GrumpyGolfer had all five of them to complete a runaway victory. BlueCoverman had all four of his remaining picks finish in the top 3 places to finish as the closest challenger. Another Fantasy Leaguer, LadyPutt, chose the tournament winner and those points along with a third place were enough to hold off RedRage who three finishers score points including two third place finishes. SetupDetermines had the Fisher brothers score points and Davie had a second place finish through Miguel Angel Jimenez. Mary_S didn't manage any finish points.

Richie Ramsay had the round of the day with a 64, Bjorn Akesson finished with a 77 as the worse round, Chris Lloyd finished in last place. No one had picked any of these so round four saw no bonus points awarded at all.
