Hold the front page, back page, any page! These are "unofficial" results until the drugs testing has been completed. BlueCoverman ran away from the field in the penultimate GCUK Fantasy League event in a manner similar to Ben Johnson at the Seoul Olympics. He didn't just win, he decimated the field. Based on his usual journeyman performances foul play is suspected and the stewards have been called. Congratulations Blue, now please pee in this cup while this big bouncer guy watches you. Whatsa matta? Got stage fright?
BlueCoverman had four finishers in the top 11 places. Even if he didn't have Na Yeon Choi, the eventual winner, he still would have scored enough points to hold off Mary_S and RedRage. BlueCoverman has certainly picked the right time to come good with one event left he's got to be the favourite for the Autumn session.
Everyone managed at least one finisher in the top 20 but no one else could do better than fourth and they ultimately paid for that. It was really all finished by round three, with very little movement in the table.
Bonus points were on offer but went begging as LPRPitis raised its head again. Crowd favourite Sarah Jane Smith took low round honours with a -5, 67. Jennie Lee suffered again following her 78 on Saturday with an 81 on Sunday. However she didn't slip to last place as Tanya Dergal wrapped that up with a final round 78 of her own.
Next week sees the Autumn schedule wrap up with the DP World Championship in Dubai. Can anyone mount a charge and catch BlueCoverman?

The third round of the CME Group Titleholders brought much joy for GCUK Fantasy Leaguers. Everyone got in on the points that were being doled out. BlueCoverman was the happiest recipient, that greedy so and so earned points from half of his picks, and that was enough to lift him to the top of the leaderboard. However, if past form is anything to go by we know what will happen next; the headache and the nosebleed will start and he will slowly slip down the leaderboard.
Azahara Munoz came good in the third round, she had the pick of the day, a -5, 67. That earned extra bonus points for BlueCoverman, Davie, raycastleunited and 1GrumpyGolfer. The rest of the GCUK Fantasy Leaguers managed to pick one of the 8 players that squeaked into the Top 10 Low Rounds.
Worse round dishonours were shared by Jennie Lee, Jessica Korda and Hee-Won Han. BlueCoverman showed he's an equal opportunity picker as he managed the double of best and worst rounds. LadyPutt joined him in picking Hee-Won Han and they picked up an extra 20 bonus points.
With just 20 points separating first from second, second from third, third from fifth and fifth from last it looks like everything will come down to the finishing places and it's all up for grabs.

Well LPRPitis seems to be finally under control for the GCUK Fantasy Leaguers. Setup and BlueCoverman can stash their cream, that they got from the chemist, in a safe place but hopefully not too far away. It has however meant that hardly anyone scored points for the second round of the CME Group Titleholders tournament in Florida.
So who did score points? Well it was that ladies man RedRage and LadyPutt. Ai Miyazato finally came good for LadyPutt, I think the good lady judge has a soft spot for this Miyazato, by shooting the round of the tournament so far. Miyazato surged into the lead after an -8, 64 to lead the tournament by one shot from Na Yeon Choi.
Worse round dishonours went to Kristy McPherson and Tanya Dergal, both managed their way round the course in an eventual 81 shots, but no one chose either of them so those points went begging.
There are several GCUK Fantasy Leaguers that are hoping to get back on track in the third round. With at least 10 players earning points in the third round they may get their wish.

The LPGA events really help to separate those that know and those that guess. Only 1/3 of the GCUK Fantasy League field managed to score points after the first days play of the CME Group Titleholders LPGA season finale. After some severe outbreaks LPRPitis appears to be under control. Only BlueCoverman appears to have any symptoms but if he talks nicely to SetupDetermines he might get to share some of his cream from the chemist.
Mary_S and RedRage hold the joint lead after picking one of the three first round leaders. Suzann Pettersen and Sun Young Yoo earned their points respectively. So Yeon Ryu was the third player on -6 but no one picked her. BlueCoverman had one of the four players that rounded out the top 5 low scores. His pick of Na Yeon Choi missed out on the joint lead by 1 shot.
The rest of the field performed like Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest; nil points. No one picked Michelle Wie who had the worst round of the day; a +9, 81.
Who knows what round two will hold? Will scoring improve? Will LPRPitis affect more of the field? Tune in tomorrow for the next episode of GCUK Fantasy League.

The penultimate GCUK Fantasy League event travels to The CME Group Titleholders tournament which happens to be the culmination of the LPGA Tour season for 2012. It is a limited field, no cut event featuring a field of 73 qualifying players. 3 players qualified from each tournament held throughout the year and that has created a highly ranked field. 18 of the top 20 ranked players are here, only Sun Ju Ahn and Chie Arimura are missing, ranked 14 and 19 respectively. Only 6 players are ranked lower than 200 in the Rolex Rankings.
This is the second year of this event and it has moved venue to the TwinEagles Club in Naples, Florida. Hee Young Park will be back to defend the title after she finished on -9, 2 shots clear of Paula Creamer and Sandra Gal. Scoring was tough last year, only 9 of the field finished under par, but could be different this year.
As this is a no cut event the points available for cuts will not be available.

RULES
Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 6 players as follows:
Pick 2 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.
Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).
If there is a tie after all 6 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.
Order of Merit: The person with the most total points at the completion of the season will be declared the GolfChatUK Fantasy League Champion. If there is a tie for total points at the completion of the season, those involved will be declared Co-Champions.
Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be treated as nil scoring. If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.
Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply.
Example: Pick 2 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4 and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1 and 7, reserve 3 from Category B, players 1 and 2, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.
Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.
Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament. However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.
All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

No, LP still 3 hours to go to first tee time.
Setup would be very pleased if you have a recurrence of LPRPitis

Bloody Hell that's a surprise! And I've lost my 'choker' tag
It just goes to show that all that usual deliberation and consternation is a complete waste of time! It's the pin method all the way for me from now on!
