Ultimately a 1-2 finish by SetupDetermines was enough to pip 1GrumpyGolfer at the GCUK Fantasy League Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship. Suzann Pettersen outscored Inbee Park to take back to back wins on the LPGA Tour. Popular pick Yani Tseng finished 3rd, Catriona Matthew 4th and So Yeon Ryu 5th. GCUK Fantasy Leaguers managed to pick 7 out of the Top 10 and 10 out of the Top 20 finishers ensuring a bumper final day of scoring.

Funnily enough BlueCoverman and raycastleunited had four in the Top 20 but the difference in amateur pick was enough to separate those two. Davie, RedRage and LadyPutt had three in the Top 20 and Mary_S had two. 1GrumpyGolfer had 3 of the top 6 but SetupDetermines 3rd Top 20 finisher sealed the deal.

No one chose Karen Stupples who had the best round of the day; a -5, 67. No one chose Kristy McPherson either as she slumped to the worst round of the day, a +10, 82.

The race for the amateur leaderboard was pretty much all but over after round 3. Doris Chen had her worst round of the tournament finishing at +6 but it was enought to secure a 12 shot victory over Ssu-Chia Cheng, +18. Jayvie Ajogo finished 3rd on +19. Meng Chu Chen, 4th on +22 and strong shouldered Yu Hsin Chang held up both the main leaderboard and the amateur leaderboard at +29.

Another bumper day of scoring in the GCUK Fantasy League Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship. It's almost as if round 1 was repeated. The popular double of Inbee Park and Yani Tseng repeated the 1-2 low scores but Yani Tseng was joined by other popular picks of Suzann Pettersen and Na Yeon Choi.

Everyone scored Round 3 Top 10 low scores bonus points but some scored better than others. Mary_S and 1GrumpyGolfer had 3 picks in that hallowed hall of fame. Davie, BlueCoverman, raycastleunited, LadyPutt and SetupDetermines had 2 picks but RedRage could only manage 1 pick.

No one scored worse round bonus points but BlueCoverman may appeal to the League Judge. His amateur pick of Ssu-Chia Cheng had the worst round of the day with a +9, 81. As mentioned earlier, he's likely to be SOL on that one.

The race for the amateur leaderboard took a dramatic turn as challenger Ssu-Chia Cheng endured a horrible round and has dropped into the fight for second place behind Doris Chen. All of the amateurs failed to match par today, Jayvie Ajogo came the closest with a +1, 73. She's now at +12. Ssu_Chia Cheng is at +13 after an 81. Meng Chu Chen is at +15 and Yu Hsin Chang is propping up the mini leaderboard at +24.

The lack of a cut here at the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship meant it was an unusual scoring day after the second round for the GCUK Fantasy Leaguers.

There was minimal movement on the leaderboard as SetupDetermines moved into a share of the lead with 1GrumpyGolfer after his pick of Suzann Pattersen matched Inbee Park's opening round of 65.

Mary_S again came close to bonus points as her Amateur pick, Yu Hsin Chang, had the worst round of the day, again. However her Amatuer pick doesn't count towards the main tournament. Yu Hsin Chang managed to get round the course in just 82 shots sealing her last place in the event.

There were two withdrawals during round 2; Se Ri Pak and Jeong Jang. This means bad news for RedRage and LadyPutt and the withdrawal of Jeong Jang means that there is now only one regular pick and the amateur pick separating raycastleunited and BlueCoverman.

In the race for the Amateur leaderboard Doris Chen, most popular pick, now has a four shot lead over Ssu-Chia Cheng who is now +4. Jayvie Agojo improved slightly on round 1 but is now at +11. Meng Chu Chen showed some improvement but is at +12 and Yu Hsin Chang is at +18 rounding out the mini leaderboard.

Another record setting day for GCUK Fantasy Leaguers after the first round of the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship in Yang Mei, Taiwan. Every single competitor scored points after the first day of play.

The popular pin pick was Inbee Park, picked by just your five GCUK Fantasy Leaguers: 1GrumpyGolfer, BlueCoverman, raycastleunited, SetupDetermines and Davie. Park had the round of the day with a -7, 65 opening up a two shot lead over last year's winner Yani Tseng; another popular pick. This popular combo was enough for BlueCoverman and raycastleunited to start to separate themselves from the pack. SetupDetermines had a different combo make the Round 1 Top 5 low scores earning him his 30 points and a share of second place alongside those two.

1GrumpyGolfer went one better; his head overruled another body part to move Sarah Jane Smith to the bench replacing her with Danielle Kang. Three players in the Round 1 Top 5 low scores was enough to open up a 10 point lead at the top of the pack.

Davie, had Inbee Park as a solitary Round 1 Top 5 low score pick, LadyPutt had Nicole Castrale make the Round 1 Top 5 low scores and Mary_S had Yani Tseng to score points for her.

RedRage scored his 10 points through a worst round of the day contender; Meng Chu Chen. The good news for him is that there is no cut here so his pick won't miss out on later rounds. Mary_S came close to bonus points with her Amateur pick of Yu Hsin Chang who also had the worst round of the day but that doesn't count towards the main tournament. No one picked the other player, Tiranan Yoopan, who also shared in that dubious honour. All slumped to an 80.

In the race for the Amateur leaderboard Doris Chen, most popular pick, opened a one shot lead over Ssu-Chia Cheng who was +1. Jayvie Agojo +6 and Yu Hsin Chang +8 round out the mini leaderboard.

The Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship is a limited field, no cut event featuring the top 68 players in the LPGA money list. Also included were 4 qualifiers from a 36 hole event that took place at the end of September for those not already qualified. The sponsor was also allowed 6 invites, 5 of which went to amateurs.

This is the second year of this event; last year was won in spectacular fashion by Yani Tseng. She finished on -16 after she blitzed the field in the final round shooting -6, 66. She enjoyed a comfortable 5 shot victory.

As this is a no cut event the points available for cuts will not be available.

As there are 5 amateurs in the field playing all four rounds please make a separate pick for best amateur.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 6 players as follows:

Pick 2 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.
Pick Best Amateur, denoted by (A) after their name

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).
If there is a tie after all 6 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Order of Merit: The person with the most total points at the completion of the season will be declared the GolfChatUK Fantasy League Champion. If there is a tie for total points at the completion of the season, those involved will be declared Co-Champions.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be treated as nil scoring. If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply.
Example: Pick 2 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4 and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1 and 7, reserve 3 from Category B, players 1 and 2, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament. However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

1GrumpyGolfer went one better; his head overruled another body part to move Sarah Jane Smith to the bench replacing her with Danielle Kang. Three players in the Round 1 Top 5 low scores was enough to open up a 10 point lead at the top of the pack.

Davie, had Inbee Park as a solitary Round 1 Top 5 low score pick, LadyPutt had Nicole Castrale make the Round 1 Top 5 low scores and Mary_S had Yani Tseng to score points for her.

RedRage scored his 10 points through a worst round of the day contender; Meng Chu Chen. The good news for him is that there is no cut here so his pick won't miss out on later rounds. Mary_S came close to bonus points with her Amateur pick of Yu Hsin Chang who also had the worst round of the day but that doesn't count towards the main tournament. No one picked the other player, Tiranan Yoopan, who also shared in that dubious honour. All slumped to an 80.

In the race for the Amateur leaderboard Doris Chen, most popular pick, opened a one shot lead over Ssu-Chia Cheng who was +1. Jayvie Agojo +6 and Yu Hsin Chang +8 round out the mini leaderboard.

Red, not 100% sure, she wasn't designated on the LPGA website but that doesn't necessarily mean a lot. I did google her looking to see if she is an amateur and some results did show her as an amateur.

I'm going to side that she is an amateur unless LP decides otherwise.

The lack of a cut here at the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship meant it was an unusual scoring day after the second round for the GCUK Fantasy Leaguers.

There was minimal movement on the leaderboard as SetupDetermines moved into a share of the lead with 1GrumpyGolfer after his pick of Suzann Pattersen matched Inbee Park's opening round of 65.

Mary_S again came close to bonus points as her Amateur pick, Yu Hsin Chang, had the worst round of the day, again. However her Amatuer pick doesn't count towards the main tournament. Yu Hsin Chang managed to get round the course in just 82 shots sealing her last place in the event.

There were two withdrawals during round 2; Se Ri Pak and Jeong Jang. This means bad news for RedRage and LadyPutt and the withdrawal of Jeong Jang means that there is now only one regular pick and the amateur pick separating raycastleunited and BlueCoverman.

In the race for the Amateur leaderboard Doris Chen, most popular pick, now has a four shot lead over Ssu-Chia Cheng who is now +4. Jayvie Agojo improved slightly on round 1 but is now at +11. Meng Chu Chen showed some improvement but is at +12 and Yu Hsin Chang is at +18 rounding out the mini leaderboard.

Thank you for picking up on my badly worded, rushed, update this morning. I was trying to suggest: (a) that the withdrawal is bad news on your ability to score points with the lay-dees and (b) there is still only a fag paper's width between your picks and ray's picks.

Are you running off to the good Lady Judge again suggesting we need an investigation into matching picks?

That's not a bad idea Grumps and I might have to give it careful and studious consideration...dependent on how the weekend scores go of course!

Darn it - I manage to pick the worst Amateur, but she doesn't count for the bonus points!

I was merely suggesting to a fellow competitor that it might be in her interest to ask for a ruling. The decision made by the league administrator that "her amateur pick doesn't count towards the main tournament" is clearly debatable to say the very least
