Brunston Castle Golf Course
A word of warning to anyone making holiday of society bookings.
According to our local paper it looks like this course is going into administration.
Pity really as it is a fine Donald Steel course it is owned by Bargany Estates so let us hope that someone picks up the lease.
It had a bad reputation as a wet course when it opened about 20 years ago, they have improved it quite a lot but it is still a poor winter course.
Good course in the wrong place, how many more will learn that lesson.

I played (and stayed) there in May 2010.
I can see how it would be wet in winter.

I am sure that some parts of the course are lower than Girvan Water''
