Matt Kuchar holed his bunker shot for birdie on 18 and a round of 64 and that was enough to close out Luke Donald.  Both of these players were picks for GolfChatUK Fantasy Leaguers and Davie, 1GrumpyGolfer, and BlueCoverman all had those two players.  That meant there was some separation between them and the rest of the Fantasy Leaguers.  Both 1GrumpyGolfer and BlueCoverman outscored Davie in finish points but it wasn't enough to catch Davie.  Redrage held onto fourth spot courtesy of Luke Donald and despite multiple picks scoring points there wasn't anything to separate LadyPutt, Mary_S, and SetupDetermines.
 
Pat Perez also shot 64 to match Kuchar's round.  Briny Baird slumped to a 78 and last place; that earned points for SetupDetermines.

Points galore for GolfChatUK Fantasy Leaguers in round 3 of the RBC Heritage. Davie had the most picks score points, including the best round, worst round, combo that Mary_S missed out on in round 2.  He had four picks score points and that gives him a 10 point lead as we move into the final round.  1GrumpyGolfer and BlueCoverman each had three picks score points including the low round scorer in Donald. RedRage had two picks including Luke Donald.  Mary_S and LadyPutt each had one pick score points but Mary also had Donald. SetupDetermines didn't add to his tally.
 
Five players shot 75 which for a worst round isn't that bad. Trevor Immelman earned points for Davie.  Scott Langley, Harris English, Dudley Hart, and Tommy Gainey also had 75.  Jason Kokrak also shot 66 to match Donald.  The Top 10 Low Round Scores was 68 or lower.

Some God awful weather caused the second round to be delayed on Hilton Head Island.  When it resumed Jim Furyk finished off a fine round 0f 66 and Stephen Ames crashed to an 84; both of those players caused some heartache for Mary_S as she had two picks who were in possession of the best and worst round.  As it was Jim Furyk was a pick for 1GrumpyGolfer, LadyPutt, and SetupDetermines.
 
The poor conditions meant the cut line moved to +4 and everyone had all of their Category A picks for the weekend.  Only Davie had everyone from Category B and 1GrumpyGolfer, BlueCoverman, and RedRage all have the entire selection of Category C picks.  
 
Round 3 is well underway and hopefully they will get everyone round before darkness falls.

The Top 5 Low Round scores mark was -2 and it had nearly 20 players equal or better than score.  Five picks met that mark and everyone got off of the mark after round 1 by having at least one pick score points.  BlueCoverman, Davie, LadyPutt, and SetupDetermines all had two picks score points but BlueCoverman and Davie are ahead as their pick of Matt Kuchar had one of the Low Round scores.  1GrumpyGolfer also had Kuchar so he's slightly ahead of RedRage and Mary_S.
 
Scott Langley and William McGirt also shot 66 to match Kuchar but no one picked either of those players.  Ben Curtis had the worst round of the day but he still managed to break 80 with a round of 79.

This week's tournaments are a little bit like after the Lord Mayor's show; not many top players gracing the field with their presence. Harbour Town is headlined by Matt Kuchar and Jordan Spieth fresh off of their close run thing at the Masters.  Graeme McDowell is the defending champion and, like the Masters, some old timers are again in the field; Nick Faldo and Tom Watson are playing in this thing.
 
We are back to our regular three Categories but you still need to pick three, plus reserve, from each one.  The additional cut bonus points are still on offer this time around.  If you get all of your picks through in any category you get a small bonus.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.
 
This is a full field with cut event, so cut points will be available; see above.

RULES
 
Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:
 
Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.
 
Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).
 
If there is a tie after all 6 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.
 
Order of Merit: The person with the most total points at the completion of the season will be declared the GolfChatUK Fantasy League Champion. If there is a tie for total points at the completion of the season, those involved will be declared Co-Champions.
 
Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be treated as nil scoring. If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.
 
Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply.  Example: Pick 2 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4 and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1 and 7, reserve 3 from Category B, players 1 and 2, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.
 
Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.
 
Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament. However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.
 
All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

A win for Westwood earlier today, and Luke hitting some form - could this be the year one of them finally fulfills their potential? (won't mention the "M" word!!)

Don't much care about westwood any more (though he did win me £20 today on a v small bet) - but I'd LOVE to see Luke get back to some sort of form. One of my favourites to watch when he's on form

Matt Kuchar holed his bunker shot for birdie on 18 and a round of 64 and that was enough to close out Luke Donald. Both of these players were picks for GolfChatUK Fantasy Leaguers and Davie, 1GrumpyGolfer, and BlueCoverman all had those two players. That meant there was some separation between them and the rest of the Fantasy Leaguers. Both 1GrumpyGolfer and BlueCoverman outscored Davie in finish points but it wasn't enough to catch Davie. Redrage held onto fourth spot courtesy of Luke Donald and despite multiple picks scoring points there wasn't anything to separate LadyPutt, Mary_S, and SetupDetermines.

Pat Perez also shot 64 to match Kuchar's round. Briny Baird slumped to a 78 and last place; that earned points for SetupDetermines.
