With the 2013/4 PGA Tour season already underway and the European Tour season coming to a close thoughts start to turn towards the next season of the GolfChatUK Fantasy League.  The PGA Tour has published it's full schedule through to the FedEx Cup in mid September.  The European Tour has only published a partial schedule through to the end of March.  
 
Please don't panic there will not be doubling up of events, for reasons noted below, they have been posted like this to show a choice of possible events.  I do like/try to listen to those that take part, even though some can be a pain in the aris, and thought I would open this up for discussion so that we can decide upon a schedule of events together.  I have tried to mix it up in the past between the tours so it is not PGA or European Tour centric and I try to pick the event that has the strongest field in terms of OWGR.  I know in the past we have had some mickey mouse events; the South African one with some 200 players taking part springs to mind here.
 
That said, there is a fair amount of work that goes on in running the league and I'd like to think that despite streamlining the administration, that faux pas' are few and far between, the odd big one does crop up every now and then.  If the thoughts or consensus wants to have events weekly then I would like to request help and assistance in running the league.  Maybe the events could be shared so that it would be every other week for those administering the events or there could be coverage while I go away on holiday etc.  I think this would help avoid the balls up where I ended up dropping Portugal at the last minute.

Grumps - I'm sure we are all grateful for you running these comps. I'm happy to put in any legwork that may be necessary to help out but I don't have the knowledge or resources to take over total control on the weeks you aren't available. If you are happy to continue with the great work you do, I say go for it - and if weeks get missed then so be it. Message me if you need any help, but I for one am happy for you to continue running it as you see fit

Couldn't agree more with that Davie. I enjoy the fantasy league and all the banter that goes with it Grumps, but if there are weeks that are missed because you are busy or have other priorities I am sure none of us are going to have any problem with that.
 
I would offer my assistance but I am such a sore loser that the temptation to do an Elliot, Tiger or a Simon would, I fear, just be too great!

I happy to make picks for whatever tournaments are on the list - even if I've got limited knowledge of the field, it's the thrill of the chase which provides the fun.

Agree with Davie and Blue - more than grateful to GG for all the hard work he puts into this.  

I'd be happy with missing weeks if there are only "minor" events scheduled on either side of the pond - it's bad enough having to remember to do picks and then agonising over who is going to let me down next, I can't imagine how much hard work Grumps has to put in.

Rather than do all the works, Grumps, why don't we just use yahoo golf fantasy web pages. No need for you to do any work, Yahoo do all the work for you.
You get 4 picks plus 4 reserves.

Remember I hedged my bets in Cat C and picked all of them. I know I wouldn't have picked a chopper like Kjeldsen Havret
