The thumb and index finger of the right hand - not needed Empty The thumb and index finger of the right hand - not needed

Last week I was reading a topic on another forum (found just by web-surfing) about Ben Hogan and his grip.

Within the topic it stated that the grip should only really involve the last three fingers of the left hand and the middle and ring fingers of the right hand. I tried it over the weekend and got superb results including a 3-under handicap score in the Medal.

It felt different (which a grip change should!) and it became apparent that my right index finger had been the root of my problem in creating pulls, hooks and everything else that was giving me sleepless nights.

My driving yesterday (I played 36 holes) was as straight as it's ever been.

If you're having problems with pulls, hooks, etc. review your grip and try the above.

After an awful couple of months on the course, I'm now bounce !
