Maybe it's time to commence criminal activity?
Reading the local newspaper on-line, I came across the list of people who have recently been sentenced in the Magistrates' Court.
With no pay rise for the last 4 years, and prices still rising, I think that maybe I should give consideration to a bit of shoplifting or mugging. I mean how onerous can a conditional discharge, or an electronic tag and curfew be?
Anybody else despair at the punishment rarely fitting the crime?

I agree. I'll just go get my balaclava then meet me under the railway arches.

Tend to agree with you Mary, more and more people are getting lighter and lighter sentences, the police must be disheartened, for all the effort they put in to catch these people, just to see the magistrates, not even smack their wrist, but, let them walk away a big smile on their faces.
