The last couple of years we’ve seen the ET players take most of the spoils, and dominate the world’s top 10. The PGA has stuttered all season with new names starting off well, but couldn’t seem to get any momentum going. The year started well in the States with what looked like a new superstar in Jonny Vegas, who took a win and a couple of top 10’s, Bill Haas was another young gun coming through but stalled, Webb Simpson managed to get to No8 in the world with Matt Kuchar at 9 who promised much more. Nick Watney at times looked like a world beater, but ended the season playing like me, but still got to No12. Disappointments also for Phil who slipped down the rankings to No14, and my favourite player of 2010 also slipped back to No20 (Bubba) Tiger may or may not be getting some form back, but he wasted a couple of years due to his personal problems and his rebuild programme. Yes he managed a win last week but in a field of 18 which for some reason saw him rise from No49 to No21, so I imagine we’ll get a feel for where his game is in January as he’s going to the desert for a change to play on the ET. Another young gun was keegan Bradley who also had some results, but again flatters to deceive and sees him end the year at No30, but a bloke who I’ve derided in the past amazingly got his first win and about time too as we were sick of reading the hype. Yes Ricky Fowler stays in the top 30 at No29, and I’m betting that he’ll have a good 2012 unless his new clubs don’t work for him.

Will the PGA players make a comeback next year, as I have a feeling they will

Bill Hass may have stalled but he did well enough to take the FedEx pot home. Picked the right tournament to win in my opinion. Does it not really count as it was a limited field, no cut event Innocent
