News this morning is that he is spending $150m to buy out the bankrupt Doral resort and has pledged a further $150m over the next 18 months to refurbish the resort

He really likes throwing his weight around, but as he's spent millions you suspect that there would be at least a bit of truth in his story. Did Salmond lie to him?

Hmmm Salmon is a crafty laddie. I'm sure he would have covered himself somehow. That said it certainly doesn't bode well for Scotland if the country isn't 'big' enough to command respect from a small timer like Trump. If independence becomes a reality it shant be long before the bonny land is stripped to its brogues by all and sundry.
