Adam Scott didn't manage to hold on for a wire to wire win but he was still the best placed pick from GolfChatUK Fantasy Leaguers.  11 picks were among the top 20 placings and another was last confirming SetupDetermines' position as King of the Duffers.  RedRage and Mary_S had to deal with the final round withdrawal of Hunter Mahan; RedRage took it in his stride, rallied his picks and three of them finished in the placings giving him a second win.  Mary didn't fare so well and could only manage to get two of her picks to score points but she was left propping up the leaderboard when all was said and done.  LadyPutt had a solitary pick score finish points and she plummeted down the leaderboard to finish in a tie with SetupDetermines who had enough game to move off of the bottom.  BlueCoverman, Davie, and 1GrumpyGolfer each had four picks score points but the only mover was BlueCoverman who moved into a distant second place behind RedRage.
 
Camilo Villegas and Sean O'Hair both had 67s and they were the lowest rounds of the day.  Villegas earned points for 1GrumpyGolfer and RedRage.  Pat Perez had a bit of a meltdown on the last and stole the worst round away from SetupDetermines' pick of Padraig Harrington; Perez finished with 83 and the was the worst round by three shots.  Martin Laird finished last after a round of 78; SetupDetermines took the plaudits for that pick.

With more bonus points on offer in round 3 almost everyone got in on the act.  Two picks scoring points seemed to be the norm for GolfChatUK Fantasy Leaguers as they took advantage of the Top 10 Low Round scores.  You needed 69 or better to score points and seven picks did just that.  Mary_S didn't have any of her picks score points so she has slipped down the leaderboard.  BlueCoverman holds position despite only having one pick score points.
 
Keegan Bradley followed up his 67 from round 2 with a 66 to share low round of the day with Matt Every.  Ryan Moore had a 78 for the worst round.  No picked any of these players.
 
Round 4 is already underway and Adam Scott's lead is being trimmed after every round; will he be able to hold off the chasing pack?

Of those with 9 picks left for round 2 RedRage came the closest to the perfect set.  He had Lee Westwood miss the cut by a few shots and bang went the big cut bonuses but 2 cut bonuses give him the lead after round 2.  1GrumpyGolfer, Davie, Mary_S, and SetupDetermines all earned a cut bonus despite losing another pick or multiple picks.  Mary_S, Davie, and SetupDetermines all have 7 picks left, LadyPutt and 1GrumpyGolfer each have 6 picks, and BlueCoverman has 5 picks.
 
The low round came from Keegan Bradley with a round of 67.  81 was the highest score and Matthew Fitzpatrick and Hudson Swafford both had that number.  No one picked any of those players so no bonuses were paid out for round 2.

Adam Scott set a blistering pace to open the Arnold Palmer Invitational, his 62 was the best of the day by 3 shots.  His fine play earned points for BlueCoverman and RedRage.  To get into the Top 5 Low Round scores you needed a 67 or lower and five other picks shot 67 earning points for LadyPutt and Mary_S each with two picks and Davie who also had a pick shoot 67.  The allergy suffering Bubba Watson accumulated 83 and then decided he'd had enough.  His withdrawal affected 1GrumpyGolfer, BlueCoverman, and LadyPutt but his 83 was the worst round of the day so the blow was somewhat softened.

Unusually for a run of the mill tour event the top 3 in the world rankings are all in attendance and the field is relatively strong despite a whole spate of withdrawals.  Tiger Woods is the defending champion and having won this event a whole bunch of times he must be sick of the sight of the trophy.
 
We are back to our regular three Categories but you still need to pick three, plus reserve, from each one.  The additional cut bonus points are still on offer this time around.  If you get all of your picks through in any category you get a small bonus.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.
 
This is a full field with cut event, so cut points will be available; see above.

RULES
 
Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:
 
Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.
 
Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).
 
If there is a tie after all 6 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.
 
Order of Merit: The person with the most total points at the completion of the season will be declared the GolfChatUK Fantasy League Champion. If there is a tie for total points at the completion of the season, those involved will be declared Co-Champions.
 
Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be treated as nil scoring. If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.
 
Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply.  Example: Pick 2 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4 and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1 and 7, reserve 3 from Category B, players 1 and 2, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.
 
Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.
 
Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament. However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.
 
All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

I think that as he finished round 1 he should be eligible for round 1 scores and earn points if that turns out to be the worse round; I'm pretty sure Blue will back me on this one. If he withdrew after 16 or 17 holes it would be a different story. One for the good Lady Judge methinks

Definitely one for the judge but I'm tempted to side with you even though it favours Blue .. he won't score any more points from him this weekend that's for sure!

Blue and Red both picked Adam Scott who set the course record with a 62 for the best round of the day

Blue, LP, and Grumps picked the allergy suffering Blubba Watson who had an 83 which was the worse round of the day. Watson withdrew to screw their chances of the full set for the weekend.

Not a good last minute change to remove Adam from my 9......  

Oops, I wasn't sure if you had but A. J. Rose in Cat A made me think you did. Early days still.

Who is this A J Rose, is he any relation to Retief Gooseneck?

We've always played it that if the round is finished it's eligible. Example: Gary Woodland in the Masters withdrew after a horrible score in round 3. His was the worse round and points were awarded to those who picked him. This example also touches upon your second point. At the Masters if you withdraw you are treated as if you never played and no scores are visible.

The PGA Tour website has him as withdrawn but shows his first round score of 83. They also have an article stating that he withdrew after his opening round.

I'd have thought his 83 would count for round 1, he finished the round. We don't back track and remove points scored in round 1 and 2, if somebody withdraws through round 3 or 4 with an in jury is is DQ'd.

He's got to beat 81 at the moment. Goydos is struggling too, on course for a 79 if he pars his final 9 holes.

Of those with 9 picks left for round 2 RedRage came the closest to the perfect set. He had Lee Westwood miss the cut by a few shots and bang went the big cut bonuses but 2 cut bonuses give him the lead after round 2. 1GrumpyGolfer, Davie, Mary_S, and SetupDetermines all earned a cut bonus despite losing another pick or multiple picks. Mary_S, Davie, and SetupDetermines all have 7 picks left, LadyPutt and 1GrumpyGolfer each have 6 picks, and BlueCoverman has 5 picks.

The low round came from Keegan Bradley with a round of 67. 81 was the highest score and Matthew Fitzpatrick and Hudson Swafford both had that number. No one picked any of those players so no bonuses were paid out for round 2.

With more bonus points on offer in round 3 almost everyone got in on the act.  Two picks scoring points seemed to be the norm for GolfChatUK Fantasy Leaguers as they took advantage of the Top 10 Low Round scores.  You needed 69 or better to score points and seven picks did just that.  Mary_S didn't have any of her picks score points so she has slipped down the leaderboard.  BlueCoverman holds position despite only having one pick score points.
 
Keegan Bradley followed up his 67 from round 2 with a 66 to share low round of the day with Matt Every.  Ryan Moore had a 78 for the worst round.  No picked any of these players.
 
Round 4 is already underway and Adam Scott's lead is being trimmed after every round; will he be able to hold off the chasing pack?

Hunter Mahan has withdrawn during his final round, he only managed to complete the first dropping a shot. No news yet as to why he did so. This affects Mary_S and RedRage however Red still has the leader do he shouldn't suffer too much.

Adam Scott didn't manage to hold on for a wire to wire win but he was still the best placed pick from GolfChatUK Fantasy Leaguers. 11 picks were among the top 20 placings and another was last confirming SetupDetermines' position as King of the Duffers. RedRage and Mary_S had to deal with the final round withdrawal of Hunter Mahan; RedRage took it in his stride, rallied his picks and three of them finished in the placings giving him a second win. Mary didn't fare so well and could only manage to get two of her picks to score points but she was left propping up the leaderboard when all was said and done. LadyPutt had a solitary pick score finish points and she plummeted down the leaderboard to finish in a tie with SetupDetermines who had enough game to move off of the bottom. BlueCoverman, Davie, and 1GrumpyGolfer each had four picks score points but the only mover was BlueCoverman who moved into a distant second place behind RedRage.

Camilo Villegas and Sean O'Hair both had 67s and they were the lowest rounds of the day. Villegas earned points for 1GrumpyGolfer and RedRage. Pat Perez had a bit of a meltdown on the last and stole the worst round away from SetupDetermines' pick of Padraig Harrington; Perez finished with 83 and the was the worst round by three shots. Martin Laird finished last after a round of 78; SetupDetermines took the plaudits for that pick.
