GolfChatUK Fantasy League Table - Winter/Spring Session Standings - 2013-2014

1.  The League's season is divided into 3 sessions:
 
____ Winter/Spring Session - Winner: BlueCoverman
____ Spring/Summer Session - Winner: TBC
____ Summer/Autumn Session - Winner: TBC
 
2. All competitors will start with zero points (scratch) at the beginning of each session.
 
3. There will be a declared champion for each session which will be determined by the highest point total. In the event of a tie the number of event wins each player has accumulated during the session will be used to determine the winner.  If there is still a tie, individual event finishes will be used.
 
4. The player with the highest total accumulative score for the 3 sessions will be declared Fantasy Player of the Year. (aka GCUK Order of Merit)

Cuts = Total number of cuts made vs. total number of player picks
All = Total number of times all picks make cut [number of picks changed after event 8]
Cut% = Percentage of cuts made
Low = Total number of picks with lowest score per round
Worse = Total number of picks with worse score per round
Last = Total number of picks with last place tournament finishes
R1T5 = Total number of picks with Top 5 finish in Round 1
R3T10 = Total number of picks with Top 10 finish in Round 3
Fin = Total number of points for tournament position finishes
Total = Total point score
W = Total number of events won (* indicates win of a non counting event)

Why couldn't we have had the league table including the event 4 points earned so far?  

Why's that Blue, is that so you could see yourself still in second place?

But I do like how you have the most picks through, the most worst rounds posted, and the most round 3 top 10s

Blue becomes the first to win multiple events using his own skill, knowledge, skullduggery, and luck; flaming great barrels of it too. Davie wants a pint

Two wins and only 3rd? Must be some mistake .....

A very good point LP. Now I'm not one to stir things up but the current leader has less wins than those in 2nd and 3rd place and even more surprisingly has the least amount of picks through the cut of all the league participants!   
 
Worthy of some further investigation from your goodself I would suggest.

Bubba's mis-step see's 1GrumpyGolfer record his second win in a playoff over the spluttering BlueCoverman and that puts paid to the two wins and not in first place nonsense
 
Only one positional change as SetupDetermines moves ahead of Mary; the lower positions are starting to bunch up.

I'm relying on my in depth knowledge of the SA players to bring in a big haul of points this week - up the league table like a rocket!   

Well done GG - the only player to get into 4 figures so far!

Surprised I'm still mid table considering some of the chokes I've had!

Setup and Mary have had some performances to forget so they've not exactly been falling over themselves to overtake you Davie

It is getting tight! And I'm not talking about my strides as my winter weight increases. Mid table is separated by a mere 5 points.

I know the feeling Grumps, salads and fruit just don't appeal in the winter do they!

My checks and balances have disappeared for months now and for some weeks to come. When it's f-f-f-freezing are you more likely or less likely to go for half a grapefruit over a bacon sandwich? Tricky one

I think I'm pretty safe LP...that is unless you've got another couple of weeks lined up in Barbados leaving Grumps to pick your players again!   

He talked the talk and he walked the walk. Blue took LP's threat seriously and put some mileage inbetween them after chalking up his third win. Davie has made a break for midtable after this week's "picks".

Grumps did you realise that in the winners match we're 6-4 up against the rest?

RedRage's first win of the session jumps him into fourth spot. Setup's leaving it late to register a first win in a session, again.

Better late, than ever.....

I'm not giving Setup any more incentive. His first win comes immediately after it's pointed out that he hasn't got one yet. The win sneaks him above RedRage into 4th spot.

With 1.5 events left to go in the first session will anyone be able to catch BlueCoverman or change position?

King of the Picks is better than King of the Duffers. RedRage's second win sneaks him above SetupDetermines by the smallest of margins as the fight for 4th intensifies.

It looks like BlueCoverman will hold on for another session win unless the ghost of Adam Scott will strike back.

We're slipping Grumps...only 8-7 up now!

The battle for fourth was won by Setup as he managed to sneak above Red by 12 points.

No other positional changes happened so congratulations to Blue for holding onto the top spot

Setup is right about having the highest tally in the worst round category, not sure I should be happy about that! Still not really convinced that we should get bonus points for achieving worse round

What I can't work out is: I nearly had the most players with the lowest round, I had the most players that started the tournament well, the most players that started the weekend well, the best finishes from those players, the most wins, and I still didn't win this session. And I administer the whole damn thing! Something's not right here.

You'll just need to change the scoring system, to ensure that you do...Simples !!!

It's the Matchplay that skews the scoring a bit Grumps. The session was played over 16 events and the Matchplay accounted for over 23% of my total...

I think Davie would have been happy not to have played the matchplay

What we need is more Matchplay, not less.

This was my only victory.  

You won a WGC but the Cadillac not the Matchplay. Blue won the Matchplay after missing out last year.
