Natalie Gulbis contracts malaria

I saw this article on the Golf Channel about Natalie Gulbis contracting malaria when she was in Singapore a few weeks ago. It seems crazy but I never contemplated something like this, seems strange that we haven't heard anything like this before.

Yeh I saw that - very strange! I think a few weeks ago there were half a dozen LPGA players were all tested for it though the rest all came up clean

Wonder if she didn't take the anti-malaria tabs?

She may not have taken any anti-malaria meds, as it is usually advised as not necessary for Singapore. Can't remember hearing of any other pro's having problems - male or female.

Mary - I think a couple of weeks ago there was a story that half a dozen or so of the ladies were suffering cold/flu-like symptoms - and malaria was mentioned that the time though strongly denied

Ooops, sorry - I missed that one! I don't follow the Ladies Tour as closely as some of the other posters seem to.

Hope that you guys can get through the next few weeks without her!
