The two main events this week in Qatar and San Diego - will there be anything to talk about?

I'm waiting for the coverage of the PGA event to start on Sky and have a horrible feeling it will turn into the Tiger and Phil show but with luck we'll see some of the other contenders too!

KJ Choi with a fantastic round on the tougher South Course today. If he scores as well on the North Course tomorrow he could be tough to beat.

Well the North Course giveth and the South Course taketh away. Scott Stallings who was tied third after his round of 66 on the North Course will miss the cut after his second round of 78 on the South Course.

Tiger in with a round of 65, this was matched by his playing partner Rickie Fowler. Watney the other member in the group shot 68.

Ross Fisher is going well over the South Course, hopefully he can hang on, a good finish in this tournament will go a long way to securing his card for next year and will bode well for the reshuffle.

Looks like he needs at least birdie over the last two holes to force a playoff. Good luck to him.

Wood with a great oppportunity on the last after two great shots. Two putts for a playoff, one for the win.

EDIT: Great putt; first victory on the European Tour. Well done Chris Wood.

Good to see another good finish by Andy Sullivan, this time in Qatar. His top 10 earns him an automatic start for next week's Dubai Desert Classic.

Great win for Chris. He showed a lot of heart in recovering from the nervy start he had. To turn it around & finish it off in the way that he did was superb. This will do wonders for his self belief. I hope this will be the first of many.

No, just noticed that he qualified for Abu Dhabi after a 3rd place finish in the Alfred Dunhill. His 9th place finish today will be enough to get him in the next event.

Seems to me that you're taking this research a bit too seriously! Mastering Qatar or Insuring Farmers - which will it be? 3461234324

It's not from research it's from looking for the field information on the European tour website. At the very bottom of the entry list are the amateurs and top 10 finishers from the last event. It's a real pain the arse trying to work out which ones are starting and who might not be because above those categories is the cut off line.

Adam Hadwin decided not to come back and finish his round today. He had 5 bogies on a front nine 41 and shortly into the back nine he went triple, double (great for a basketball player but not so much a golfer). He then added another two bogies on 14 and 15 and he went home after that. He was in pretty good shape at -7 overall before his final round nightmare.
