PGA Tour: Transitions
Not a tournament or course I know a lot about but looks a pretty strong field later today

They are off too at the Innisbrook Resort. Many of the big names in the second wave of starters later but for some European interest there is Casey, Laird, Garcia and Harrington all starting shortly

Monumental effort from Harrington today so I will rest him tomorrow and put in Schwartzel who was 15 shots worse than Padraig today!

Re: PGA Tour: Transitions
Just saw Chris Blanks' hole-in-one on 17. If you get a chance to see it, watch how he lives up to his surname as far as his caddie is concerned. I can only assume they'd disagreed over the club, because the caddie sees the ball drop, and turns to him with both arms aloft in celebration, Blanks looks at him briefly as he walks straight past him to receive the congratulations of his playing partner. What an arsehole.

It could have been worse for the caddie SJ, it might have been Jamie Lovemark with the hole-in-one!

Luke with the clutch putt. Hoping Ernie wins though.

Worst tee shot.
Best 2nd shot.
Ropey putt.
World #1.
Brilliant stuff, Luke!

Especially the ropey putt. A tough act to follow.Mercurio wrote:Worst tee shot. Best 2nd shot. Ropey putt. World #1. Brilliant stuff, Luke!
Wonder how many times they'll be passing the trophy back and forth between each other over the next few years. Not sure what the other guys will be playing for if these two become selfish and stubborn.smithersjones wrote:So much for Rory staying no. 1 for ages!

Re: PGA Tour: Transitions
What was ropey about the putt! He used the whole of the hole to make it, imo nothing ropey about that.
The 7 iron though was one of the shots of the year so far imo. Also Luke proving to the likes of the arrogant Garrigus its not how faryou hit it, its simply how good your whole game is.
Have to say I'm hugely impressed with Sang-Moon Bae, got a great swing and superb attitude and the way he plays is definitely something that will get him up near the top of the game, fancy him to win this year and possibly a future major champion.

Re: PGA Tour: Transitions
Ropey is maybe slightly harsh but it looked like it was missing on the left as soon as he hit it.

Re: PGA Tour: Transitions
It definitely moved to the left I agree but any putt that hits the bottom of the hole can't be ropey, Garrigus putt on the other hand!!

Re: PGA Tour: Transitions
Congrats to Luke - back at the top where he deserves to be. I hope he stays there a very long time
Re: PGA Tour: Transitions
Great viewing - looks like we are in for a very interesting season. Love the way that Luke goes about his business quietly, and that 2nd shot certainly proved that it isn't all about length.
Hope that he bags a Major this year, to silence the critics.
