'boyhyde' Drives a Cadillac to Victory!

The WGC Cadillac Championships at the famed TPC Blue Monster course came down to two at the wire: boyhyde and Davie. Ultimately it was Francesco Molinari's low score for the round and worth 20 points which proved decisive for boyhyde's 10 point victory over Davie who forged a late lead due to having 3 finishers in the Top 10. Along with Mary_S they were the only ones to choose tournament winner Justin Rose.

Newsworthy is the fact that boyhyde becomes the first multiple winner of the new league but this time he enjoys the spoils all by himself. His first win was the Northern Trust Open which he shared with Markyjl and smithersjones.

Once again points were left on the playing field with the most notable being Tiger Woods' sudden withdrawal with 7 holes to complete. He not only left himself high and dry, he left a number in the Fantasy League empty handed as a finish would have altered the final tally. And just as art imitates life, or is it the other way around, the achilles injury is just as real in the virtual world where points are determined by reality-type show ordeals. At one point the broadcast cameras where directed towards a vehicle driving down the highway as opposed to being directed towards a drive down the 12th fairway.

As usual, the worse score for the day and the worse overall score for the tournament went unclaimed. Anyone picking Simon Dyson would have earned 40 points based on his poor play. And it seems another week of selecting Coco and Keegan brought a number in the competition the majority of points they earned. Apparently riding the same horses into the ground week after week is not always a bad thing.

Yes I had a small flutter on Justin too! 50/1 seemed pretty good odds

Sadly I also had Luke and Bradley. Didn't think Luke would fetch the each way earnings but he almost got there! Bradley on the other hand...

I'm not much on horse racing so the winnings will keep me in golf bets for a few weeks to come unless I hear any tasty Cheltenham tips
