Forum Rules - do we need them?
First topic message reminder :
Or do we work on the presumption that we are all adults and shouldn't NEED rules for a place like this?
I'm not sure we need loads of rules about not insulting each other, no harassment, no illegal activities or racist/homophobic posts - those should all be common sense and are covered by the terms and conditions of joining anyway
Admins (and mods?) will deal with anything out of order on a case by case basis anyway
What about other rules?
Jot any down here that may need discussing - I think for the moment we should follow 606v2 (spit) on the images rule and allow then but only within spoiler tags to keep the place work safe
Any others need discussing?

Goodness........This sounds like a golf club committee, lots of people talking with no decisions at the end.
Think about writing 'dress code' rules at your club then think about our forum rules.
Please let 'common sense' prevail.

I think one rule... minimum number of posts per week subject to penalties in the bar at any get together for failing to meet your quota without a solid reason. Such as the loss of a limb or something

Bit of a harsh penalty for Heather Mills if she ever joined us LJ...and poor old Douglas Bader would have been in real trouble!
