BlueCoverman formerly known as "Current Fantasy League Leader" formerly known as BlueCoverman was pipped in a photo finish by the GCUK Fantasy Leaguer no hoper, he's own words, faldono1fan. This isn't the first time he's uttered those words and this isn't his first rodeo. Faldono1fan has won another event in a matter of weeks. Time for the handicapping system to come into effect.

Faldono1fan won courtesy of Colt Knost's tie for thirteenth place; that gave him one additional player in the top 20 finish places over BlueCoverman formerly known as "Current Fantasy League Leader" formerly known as BlueCoverman.

There was no real change in the leaderboard other than Davie and 1GrumpyGolfer swapping places again. LadyPutt finished third despite picking the tournament winner as one of her reserves.

Davie's Pornstar squad again had the low round of the day with Scott Piercy shooting -7. Mary_S would be ruing Jason Day's double bogey on the last hole and missing out on the bonus points. Roberto Castro had the worst round of the day with a +7, 78 but it wasn't enough to pip John Daly to last place after a woeful weekend for the Wild Thing.

Final Round Low Score (10 Points):
Scott Piercy -7

1. Davie's Pornstars

Final Round Worse Score (10 Points):
Roberto Castro +7

1. None

Last Place(10 Points):
John Daly +11

More low scoring from almost 2/3 of the field at the JT Shriners Open in Las Vegas, this is getting a bit silly now. Only 2 of 71 pros are over par and there's a three way tie for first place at -19. What did that mean for the GCUK Fantasy Leaguers? Pretty much no change, points were scored but no one moved in the table. The "Current Fantasy League Leader" formerly known as BlueCoverman now has a 10 point lead after faldono1fan had three players in the Round 3 Top 10 scorers.

Jason's Day and Bohn shared the low round of the day with -7, 64s. These players were picked by Davie as part of his pornstar squad and Mary_S. John Daly must have over celebrated his low round in Sin City last night as he collapsed to a third round 86. Just 23 shots worse than yesterday.

________________________________________________________________________

3nd Round Low Score (10 Points):
Jason Day -7

1. Mary_S

3rd Round Low Score (10 Points):
Jason Bohn -7

1. Davie's Pornstars

3rd Round Worse Score (10 Points):
John Daly +15

1. None

3rd Round Top 10 (10 Points):
-4 and lower

The low scoring continued at the JT Shriners Open in Las Vegas and the cut line slowly moved from -2 to -3 and then settled at -4. LadyPutt continued words of wisdom looked to bring in low round bonus points from Jonas Blixt but for a late charge by Daniel Summerhays and John Daly, who?

The low cut line meant a few GCUK Fantasy Leaguers dropped by the wayside but "current Fantasy League Leader" BlueCoverman coaxed all his charges through to the weekend and the 20 bonus points on offer for that feat. Faldono1fan also matached that accomplishment to maintain the pace at the top of the leaderboard.

Brian Gay prevented raycastleunited from matching them and LadyPutt will certainly be regretting choosing Tim Clark over Ryan Moore. Mary_S and RedRage are off the mark but they're behind Davie's pornstars.

Nobody chose Daniel Summerhays or John Daly who shared low round of the day with -8, 63s. Former winner Troy Mattesson crashed out with the worst round of the day, a +9, 80.

2nd Round Low Score (10 Points):
John Daly -8

2nd Round Low Score (10 Points):

2nd Round Worse Score (10 Points):

Low scoring is always prevalent at the JT Shriners Open in Las Vegas and round 1 was no exception. Ryan Moore, one of LadyPutt's reserves, set the pace with a -10, 61 on the opening day. Ryan was picked as a first choice by over half the GCUK Fantasy League field and they're all sharing in the 10 bonus points for picking low round scorer. Take a bow, BlueCoverman, faldono1fan, Davie, raycastleunited and 1GrumpyGolfer.

Not to be content with picking Ryan Moore, BlueCoverman also selected Justin Leonard and Chris Kirk who also featured in the Round 1 Top 5 list. Justin Leonard was also a popular pick and he earned points for five contenders including LadyPutt. Not to be outdone or left behind, LadyPutt picked two other Round 1 Top 5 list and settled herself into second place behind BlueCoverman.

Mary_S and RedRage are off the pace at the moment but that's partly because they picked three players who are currently over par after round 1. That's not good in a field of 132 and when 105 of them are at par or better. Strong team talks are needed after round 1.

Davie's pornstars are yet to score but there's always their side job to look forward to.

Nobody chose Greg Owen, who has almost certainly eaned himself a free weekend in Vegas, he had the highest round of the day at +7.

There are six previous champions in the field, including four from the past six years, for this tournament and defending champion, Kevin Na, is among them. Na beat Nick Watney by two strokes to secure his first win. This tournament is known for low scores and playoffs; three of the last six went to playoffs. The most famous of which included the shot in the dark by Jonathan Byrd; for those that don't remember he had a hole in one to finish the playoff which was fast running out of light.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 6 players as follows:

Pick 2 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).
If there is a tie after all 6 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Order of Merit: The person with the most total points at the completion of the season will be declared the GolfChatUK Fantasy League Champion. If there is a tie for total points at the completion of the season, those involved will be declared Co-Champions.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be treated as nil scoring. If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply.
Example: Pick 2 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4 and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1 and 7, reserve 3 from Category B, players 1 and 2, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament. However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.
