Re: Hitting Low Shots
I struggle with hitting low shots, which is a pain as I have an extremely high ball flight and I play at a windy course. Any tips guys?

Excess spin I'd imagine.

look at your angle of attack into the ball.

I've done a lot of work on that recently and I've found that by having less of an angle into the ball I'm striking it much better but I'm still hitting it to high (although not as bad as before)

What happens when you try to punch a low one out of interest?

Stiff doesn't mean stiff in many cases. Whats the frequency on them?

no idea It says 5.5 on them...not sure what that means though, had the custom fitted a few years ago.

Re: Hitting Low Shots
Its firm. I would say around r400 ish on the dynamic gold scale. And is a highish spin shaft as well... Particularly if its the flighted version which is high launch on the longer sticks with a softer tip profile and higher torque.
I think that is contributing. Try a s300 or s400 in a shop if you can. It will probably give that lower flight.

As a low ball hitter generally. If you try to punch one low and it goes left, usually means you haven't setup right.
With a punch shot because you've moved the ball slightly back in your stance, you need to stand open to counter the natural hook.
So try standing with a slightly open stance, that may help.
Remember Setup Determines the Motion....
