Just like the previous event three Fantasy Leaguers separated themselves from the rest and fought for the win.  All three had five picks score finish points but 1GrumpyGolfer had four that finished in the top 10 and that was enough to pip BlueCoverman and SetupDetermines.  The decisive pick was Tommy Fleetwood and that left LadyPutt thinking about what could have been had she not left him on the bench.  RedRage had four picks score points but only two in the top 5.  Davie and LadyPutt each had three picks score points but LadyPutt didn't pick any of the high seeds in Category A and it showed in the finish points tally.  Mary_S had only two picks score points but they were both in the top 5.
 
Anders Hansen turned on the style with a round of 63 which was also the best of the tournament.  Hao-tong Li thought he cracked it but he could only follow up his third round 67 with a 78.  That was the worst round of the day.  No one picked any of those players but SetupDetermines did manage to pick the worst performing player to make the cut.  Anthony Wall finished at +7 and dead last earning the last place points.

Nineteen players met the low round mark and Fantasy Leaguers scored beaucoup de points.  Four players shot 67 to tie for low round; picks Ian Poulter and Tommy Fleetwood were among those and LadyPutt was the only who didn't pick either of them.  Mikko Ilonen and Hao-tong Li also shot 67 but no one picked either of them.  Seven other picks shot 69 or better and everyone had at least two picks score points.  The worse rounds of the day were 77s and three players had that score. Two of them were picks in Richard Green and Anthony Wall.  That scored points for BlueCoverman and SetupDetermines.  Simon Khan was the other player that shot 77.

All of round 2 was completed on Friday and it looks like picking by numbers is the way to go.  SetupDetermines had eight of his nine picks make it through to the weekend and he earned two cut bonuses.  He lost the top player in Category C and that choice also affected a lot of other Fantasy Leaguers and no one had a full complement for Category C.  BlueCoverman and 1GrumpyGolfer came the closest to matching Setup; they both had seven picks through and two cut bonuses.  Davie and LadyPutt both had six picks make the cut but Davie lost all of Category C so he earned two cut bonuses whilst LadyPutt also erred in Category A.  Mary_S and RedRage keep five picks for the weekend and earned just one cut bonus.
 
Sam Yi retired after 8 holes already +17 for the round.  Amateur Zi-hao Chen took up the mantle and had an 85 for the worse round.  Alexander Levy shot 62 to take the best round by some four shots.  The cut line fell at even par.

Play was suspended due to darkness with five players still to finish their first round on day one.  One of them was Marcel Siem; one of Davie's picks.  When play resumed nothing changed for the Fantasy Leaguers and BlueCoverman and LadyPutt are the only ones to score points through Alvaro Quiros and David Horsey respectively.  Quiros holds the clubhouse lead with Simon Dyson after rounds of 67.  The Top 5 Low Round scores are 68 or better.  The closest pick to the worse score was Rhein Gibson with a 79 but it's still some way off of Sam Yi who had a 90 including 2 birdies and an 11 on the par 5 17th.

This week's tournaments are even weaker than last weeks!  Henrik Stenson is the only top 10 player in action this week and if the stars align he could top the world rankings with a win.  Jason Dufner is also in attendance along with Ian Poulter and they are the only other playes in the top 50.  Brett Rumford is the defending champion and if he were to defend the title he would be the first to successfully do so.
 
We are back to our regular three Categories but you still need to pick three, plus reserve, from each one.  The additional cut bonus points are still on offer this time around.  If you get all of your picks through in any category you get a small bonus.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.
 
This is a full field with cut event, so cut points will be available; see above.

RULES
 
Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:
 
Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.
 
Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).
 
If there is a tie after all 6 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.
 
Order of Merit: The person with the most total points at the completion of the season will be declared the GolfChatUK Fantasy League Champion. If there is a tie for total points at the completion of the season, those involved will be declared Co-Champions.
 
Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be treated as nil scoring. If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.
 
Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply.  Example: Pick 2 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4 and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1 and 7, reserve 3 from Category B, players 1 and 2, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.
 
Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.
 
Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament. However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.
 
All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

Adding to the difficulty for this event is the number of Chinese Golf Association invitees and the qualifiers but they're likely to be players ignored from Category C....

One other thing to note:

Time difference means that the first tee times are 11:45pm on Wednesday evening in Sunny England.

Slim pickings in Cat A so having to go with the top three rated (as will most I think!)

At the moment BlueCoverman and LadyPutt look like the only Fantasy Leaguers to score points through Alvaro Quiros and David Horsey respectively.  Quiros holds the clubhouse lead with Simon Dyson after rounds of 67.  The Top 5 Low Round scores are 68 or better and two players on the course are at -4.  They're finishing on the par 5 9th so they could beat 67 when they resume at 7:20 local time tomorrow morning.

The closest pick to the worse score was Rhein Gibson with a 79 but it's still some way off of Sam Yi who had a 90 including 2 birdies and an 11 on the par 5 17th.

Sam Yi retired after 8 holes today at +17 for his round today. He started quite well with a birdie but followed it with an 8, and then had a 7, and a 10 in short order.

Alex Levy with a brilliant round today, his 62 is 5 shots better than the best of the rest.

17 over for the round or the tournament????? Jeez .. I played Bearwood Lakes (which can be a b*tch of a course) today in pretty wet conditions and I wasn't 17 over after 8!

Round, he was +35 at the time of his withdrawal.

Bonus points galore in the third round. My back of a fag packet calculations can't keep up with it all. I think 9 picks made the top 10 low scores including 2 of the low round scores plus 2 had the worse round score too.

Knew I should have manually added Doaks ...fellow Scot.

Nineteen players met the low round mark and Fantasy Leaguers scored beaucoup de points. Four players shot 67 to tie for low round; picks Ian Poulter and Tommy Fleetwood were among those and LadyPutt was the only who didn't pick either of them. Mikko Ilonen and Hao-tong Li also shot 67 but no one picked either of them. Seven other picks shot 69 or better and everyone had at least two picks score points. The worse rounds of the day were 77s and three players had that score. Two of them were picks in Richard Green and Anthony Wall. That scored points for BlueCoverman and SetupDetermines. Simon Khan was the other player that shot 77.

Just like the previous event three Fantasy Leaguers separated themselves from the rest and fought for the win. All three had five picks score finish points but 1GrumpyGolfer had four that finished in the top 10 and that was enough to pip BlueCoverman and SetupDetermines. The decisive pick was Tommy Fleetwood and that left LadyPutt thinking about what could have been had she not left him on the bench. RedRage had four picks score points but only two in the top 5. Davie and LadyPutt each had three picks score points but LadyPutt didn't pick any of the high seeds in Category A and it showed in the finish points tally. Mary_S had only two picks score points but they were both in the top 5.

Anders Hansen turned on the style with a round of 63 which was also the best of the tournament. Hao-tong Li thought he cracked it but he could only follow up his third round 67 with a 78. That was the worst round of the day. No one picked any of those players but SetupDetermines did manage to pick the worst performing player to make the cut. Anthony Wall finished at +7 and dead last earning the last place points.
