Airline asks passengers to absorb fuel price risk:

Surely only a matter of time before Ryanair tries this

We are flying Ryanair on our golf trip next May to Spain. The trip organiser emailed on Friday to say that Ryanair had issued the flights at a price of £191 and as there are around 16 of us going could we all book our own flights online.

Must admit I was a bit slow off the mark and didn't get round to booking mine until Monday. By which time the price of the flight had increased to £240 saw this and thought of Doc 398825057 (Incidentally £100 of that was the charge to take the golf clubs, what a joke)

At least with Ryanair they're punctual though, unlike Monarch. You get charged for using your credit or debit card though, so always behind the ball with these robbers.

That is annoying as well. How else are you supposed to pay online and yet you get charged £12 for the privilege

Thing is, if they put the ticket price up 10 quid or so you wouldn't mind as much but charging the extra fees in this manner leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

It's in off topic isn't it?

Okay, how about leaves you feeling cheated by money grabbing bar stewards or does that bring in something else?

As I travel to Spain the same time each year, you would think that booking almost 12-months in advance would guarantee those £39 tickets a few carriers are advertising. Wrong ..... Its a gamble booking with FlyBe, Jet2 etc as we won't know if they're still in business in a years time. Monarch don't do cheap flights any more unless its for an odd route now. Ticket = £x, online booking charge = £x, return flight =£x, one bag = £x x 2, golf bag £x x 2, airport taxes = £x, on-line confirmation =£x, bag drop or priority on-line booking =£x, fuel surcharge =£x and finally climate change levy = £x.

I'll probably be flying BA this time as golf bags are free and 22lb bag allowed, and I've worked it out that its cheaper to fly to the USA or far east than it is to Europe these days.
