Interesting reading about the young Spaniard.

http://www.golfchannel.com/news/john-hawkins/hawks-nest-tiger-woods-sergio-garcia-feud-origin/?cid=twitter_gc_a_hawksnest_sergio_tiger_feud_051313

The last sentence says it all about the character of the MAN

"Garcia got bounced on that August evening in 2000, and almost 13 years later, a long time grudge has finally gone public.
I don’t think Woods pulled that club from his bag on the second hole last Saturday to distract Garcia on purpose, but I’m pretty sure he doesn’t regret it, either."

Cheers for posting that link SetUp, I've been wondering when this fued started.

I would love to see Garcia achieve some of his promised potential, before it's too late. We followed him at Wentworth, when he was still a young lad, and his enthusiasm was a joy to behold.

How the hell does a golfer incite a crowd? Run around pumping the air shouting 'jackie mooooon!' Or something?

He called me a whiner,” Garcia said. “That’s probably right. It’s also probably the first thing he’s told you guys that’s true in 15 years. I know what he is like. You guys are finding out.”

Not a huge fan of Sergio TBH - but I can quite well believe him and see what he means on this one

This bit from the article above also intrigued me - any know anything more about it?

Then there was the “smashing of Tweetie Pie” text after Woods brushed aside the challenge of a yellow- shirted Garcia at Hoylake seven years ago.

The Tweetie Pie reference was when Garcia was challenging for the Open and his whole outfit was canary yellow. I'm not sure who said it, either Furyk or Tiger, but one of them commented "I taught I thaw a puddy cat" when they saw him arrive for his round.

The Spanish Matador has at least spoken up about it.

How many others just stand in silence ?
& let Woods away with it ?
Including the rools offishals. ilu

The thing that makes me smile about this is that there is no need to like the people you work with or are around on a daily basis. True in all walks of life. But you find a way to tolerate things to keep it all fairly amicable.

Woods and Garcia seem to be throwing used tissues at each other. And Woods is the only one who will win I believe. Mainly as Sergio always self-derides himself and whinges in the press where Woods is stochically silent.

I expect more from Sergio whilst Woods sits back and points at his childish rants.

And after the FriedChickenGate incident Garcia has no change of coming out on top of any future spats with Woods.]

The problem with being too PC, is exactly what's now happened to poor old George. who whilst trying to deflate the Sergio chicken stuff, put his own foot in it by mentioning colored athletes

When can you call a spade a spade? George has had to change how he speaks, as have we all. BUT i thought he handled it well and took no offence at all, yet he should have said black athletes. I would have fallen into that trap too, as I thought it was PC to say colored?

I so agree with you, Doc. This PC business is ridiculous. I thought it was offensive to call someone black (even if they are) so George has my utmost sympathy - and so does Sergio, some of whose friends may some other shade which isn't white or black. What are we supposed to call them if not "coloured"?
