Well, England have managed to get 'em out for less than a 100 BUT think I'll pass on England's batting 'efforts'. Too much pressure on the ... blood pressure!

We were 7 for 2 in reply!...12 wickets fallen already on the first day, must be a well dodgy pitch!

If you had bought tickets for day five I think you may be a bit sick.

They certainly seem to like preparing a result pitch.

Surrey cricketer Tom Maynard has died after he was hit by a District Line train on London Underground early this morning. He was 23.

What a tragic loss

That is really sad. Makes you wonder what on earth could have gone so badly wrong in his young life to make him resort to that

Do we know its suicide, seems likely I guess. Lets hope Mercurio wasnt trying to get to another darts match.
I have tickets to the one day match tomorrow at the Oval but not sure I can make it which woudl be a bit gutting.

Have you read something yet that I haven't Blue? Nothing I have seen yet to suggest he jumped - sounds at the moment like it was just a tragic accident (though there is possibly more to come out yet). If there IS something else there are eerie similarities with Gary Speed - Maynard had apparently been on Cricket AM at the weekend on Sky - and as with Speed's appearance shortly before HIS death, nothing was apparently wrong with him

Time will tell but hopefully it will turn out to be just an accident - hard enough for his family but perhaps easier in the long run if it turns out he didn't take his own life

No Davie I just assumed. I have just read, as I am sure you have, that he may have been trying to escape police shortly before he was struck by the tube train

BBC website reports that someone matching his description was stopped after being seen driving a Mercedes erratically at 4.15am this morning and the driver ran off. A man matching the description was found on the District line at a nearby station a short time later. Sounds like a tragic accident but was alcohol involved?
