It's a girl!
Well we have confirmation... It's a girl. So no Elwood... No Adolf... No Himmler.... But I am now seriously considering letticia! Slug and Letticia. Good combination whoever suggested that.
I am a bit worried now though. How on earth do I cope with a girl? I was murder with my sister and blokes. I can see serious issues down the line here

Re: It's a girl!
You'll get used to it mate and have plenty of fun at the same time. My daughter even today enjoys telling people how I was the most feared bloke on my estate, as she was allowed girlfriends in the house constantly, but boys were scared to come into the street. She told me a couple of years ago that 2 lads were a few houses away and waiting for my daughter, when I decided to nip out for a paper. I didn't see it but these 2 lads clocked me and dived through a neighbours hedge to hide

Congratulations LJ. Just try to enjoy them. It's a very old cliche but they do indeed grow up very quickly.

Many congratulations LJ
How do you cope with a girl?...you can do what I do and pay for my teenage daughter to go to a private girls only school. Keeps her away from all the grubby little herberts, costs a bloody fortune though!
Oh and buy her a pony. She will be too busy looking after that to worry about boys. Mind you that costs me a bloody fortune as well!
All joking aside, well done, I am sure she will make you very proud. There are few things in life as precious as a daughter

Re: It's a girl!
LJ well done my man didn't know you had it in you
I feel your fear and the fact my oldest is only a year from being a teenager so the fear is coming more frequently. My solution is to move to another country where she knows no boys.........
If thats to extreme an option then be safe in the knowledge that by being a fair, honest and open parent with your daughter then she will respect your wishes and not look to rebel against you...
p.s still encourage your dad to bring home random girls for dads approval

Well done LJ and congratulations to you and Corrine. Look at it this way - she's more likely to make it onto the LET and therefore earn some money for her poor old Dad than she would on the ET if she were a boy. Then she can employ you as her caddy and you're quids in!

I suspect there is more of a problem with see-through trousers.

Re: It's a girl!
That's great news LJ - I have two daughters and very quickly cultivated a threatening snarl that Doc seems to have sorted as well.
Was this the 20 week scan? 'Cos my daughter has just had hers and she will be adding a boy to the family. That's 2 granddaughters and now a grandson as well! I feel blessed.

No Shanker. This is a week 36 scan.. so it's about a month away.
I am trying to get as much alcohol into my system as possible in the next month to make up for the enforced cold turkey to come shortly afterwards.

Well many congratulations to you and yours and I hope everything continues to be tickettyboo.
I expect, next time we meet up to play, that all your shirts will have that little gloop of babysick on the shoulder.

As opposed to the big gloop of ringersick that is usually there?

Nice one LJ, the ideal family unit!
My daughter's 6 months now, and has been an expert at puking over daddy, avoiding any muslin present with amazing regularity, for most of that time! So we'll have baby sick on both sides if we have a rematch!

Everyone keeps telling me I should want a boy as we already have a girl, think Id probably rather have another girl to be honest, seem to be far less hassle. All the little lads seem to be complete psychos. Not that I really mind either way as long as it comes out safe and sound.

SJ my little fella is allergic to so much that he vomits with exceptional power. So much so that I am intending to have him cast as a vomit machine if they ever remake the exorcist.
How's your little girl coming along? Got a set of sticks yet?

Well mine turned out to be a girl as well. Lady Diggers Junior 2nd arrived last night after a spirited resistance. I swear if any bloke tells me he thought being at a birth was wonderful I'll deck him, horrific...but worth it.

I know exactly what you mean Digs. I was there at two of mine and to be fair, I probably would have preferred to be elsewhere - don't tell Mrs OS that whatever you do.
Well done and hugs all round for you and yours. Is that one of each now?

Cheers guys. Nope, two girls for me OS and that's the lot. Fortunately no young man will be inheriting my golfing skills. Will try and get the girls playing but suspect it might be down the list of hobbies but you never know.

She's got her mother. I have a cousin who owns a boozer. He'll keep it open for me and the boys whilst she's at it. I'll get a message when she's finished and then we can lock up and get the cohibas out. I'll turn up around thursday to take a look at it.

Sure. The more the merrier. Sixteen String in Theydon Bois. I'll also be bring along a recently purchased bottle of Blue Label to crack into at some point.

Thanks for the updates LJO. Your version would make a great sit-com episode.

That's the last we will probably hear from him then LP - he'll crack that with his relatives and then the ringer will come round and knowing him, he will not come a calling without at least a case. I suggest everybody give Essex a wide berth tonight.

She has arrived. 9:49 last night so thats one birthday every four years meaning she'll be around for 72 years before she's allowed to drink.
And the night to avoid the area is Friday. I plan on putting a sizeable amount behind the bar and starting myself on a bottle of champagne before hitting the blue label as my personal bottle for the night.

Well done LJ and Mrs LJ - Has her name been decided on yet? The babe's, not the missus.
Good job I'm going to be in North Norfolk tomorrow, I should be far enough away to miss the backwash.
