Kids and School Holidays
My 16 year old has been off school since he finished his GCSE's earlier in the summer. "Don't worry Dad, I'll be getting a holiday job", he assured me. Not much sign of that so far. This week he played snooker on Tuesday, tennis on Wednesday, golf yesterday and a 36 hole golf society day today, thanks to £45 paid for by the bank of Dad.
I'm not complaining really, he worked really hard for his exams and starts his A levels in September. It's just that after another rubbish week in the office I am so bloody envious! Would love to be out there with him today. Anyone else got kids off school at the moment, how are you managing?

Ha, ha Blue. I know what you mean, I play golf with a lot of retired guys or ones that work minimal hours with no commute. They're always at the golf course and there's me struggling to wake up on a Saturday morning to join them. It's just not right.

Blue at least you know he's doing some quality stuff, so you don't have to worry about him being with the wrong crowd, or making the neighbours daughter preagnant

I was quite lucky that from a young age my son enjoyed sport, so was outside whenever the weather allowed. From the age of 14 onwards he spent everyday of the holidays at the golf club - even snuck a round in on Christmas Day one year!
The weather this year must be a nightmare for those who have to keep youngsters entertained.

I trust he had given his Mum a nice Christmas present before he disappeared for the day

Never mind blue, just think when you retire (like me ), you can play as much golf as you want providing the aches and pains of old age are not to severe.
Just to make you jealous my agenda this week is golf Mon,Tues, Wed, Fri Sat, and Sunday. Having a rest day on Thursday to catch up with my housework and shopping (that's providing no one phones to arrange a game).

That looks like a well balanced agenda for the week to me OP...perhaps a little heavy on the housework and shopping side
